“OXISTAR-HC (Premium)” is a chlorine-free oxidized starch, developed for use in the size press and paper coating formulations. It is from the house having unrivalled experience in the field of manufacturing and supplying Spray Starches viz. “DS-HIBURST” and “DS-HIPLY” as well as high quality cationic starches “CATSTAR-450”. Carboxylic groups make the paste of the product more stable to retrogradation. Its paste is relatively clearer and more fluid for better film formation. OXISTAR-HC (Premium) has better water holding capacity and films are stronger. Its use intensifies following:
- Improved printability and better print ink holding.
- Better surface strength, wax pick resistance & smoothness
- Better surface sizing / pigmenting due to excellent film forming
- More consistent results due control on viscosity
- Higher pick-up at the size press

Preparation for desired results :
- Prepare a suspension in fresh cold water by continuous stirring.
- The suspension should be free of lumps.
- Gradually heat (direct steaming is o.k.) to 95 °C.
- Keep under mild stirring for 20-30 minutes.
Handling, Storage and Sampling :
- Do not use hooks, drag the bags on truck or any other platform.
- Make sure unloading labours have clean hands and heads covered with clean cloth/cap.
- Bags should be stored on clean platform, kept covered with clean piece of
- tarpaulin. Also ensure that the storage area is dry, covered, away from humid
- conditions, hazardous, explosive and aromatic chemicals.
Available Packing :
- Available in 50 Kg. moisture proof lined bags. Special packing can be arranged on request.
General Information :
- In order to get best performance, it is recommended to store bags in covered dry space.
- Shelf life, if stored properly, can be as high as 1 year.
- Continuous cooking by jet cooker can also be done.
